What we inherit can haunt us. What we voice can change us.
More detailsOver one unrelenting day, Child brings us inside of the Victorian Out of Home Care system through three lives caught in its machinery. Sailor is sixteen, tenacious, defiant, and trying desperately to find his way. Claire, a youth worker, is fighting for change and running dangerously close to empty. Ava, the Minister at the helm, is struggling to hold together a system and a family under impossible pressure.
A gripping and hyper-local portrait of the horror, heart and humanity inside our own Out of Home Care system. Child asks what happens when the people inside a broken system are pushed to breaking point.
