When a woman makes art, what does she see?
More detailsGrowing Pains is a visceral, surreal exploration of what happens when pain is dismissed and left unnamed. Iris knows something is wrong, but every attempt to be heard is met with reassurance, deflection, or doubt. As her symptoms worsen, her body begins to transform in ways that can no longer be recognised or ignored. Blurring the line between reality and nightmare, this work interrogates medical misogyny, bodily autonomy, and the cost of silence. Growing Pains ask, what happens when the body is forced to speak for itself?
