DEAD STOCK is an anarchic ritual of punk song, video art, and runway performance from fashion designer/contemporary artist Chelsea Hickman that unites the transactional and often destructive reality of consumer fashion. It hallucinates a hellscape of literal tonnes of garment waste in which excess, commodity fetishism, and glamour are fuel for an apocalyptic fire.
The artists invites audiences to bring an item of clothing to sacrifice on the pyre.
