Death, Coarse Language
Two brothers, Anh and Em, reunite on Đám Giỗ (the death anniversary of their father) and pay their respects at the family altar. They clash about their respective struggles balancing Western lifestyles with the Eastern traditions of their upbringing.
An introspective drama with comedic and surrealist elements, The Death of Lý Văn Chi touches on themes such as grief, filial duty, and spirituality. It questions what a good life might entail through the lens of a family that has been scarred by displacement.
