Immerse 2026
IMMERSE 2026 ARTISTS ANNOUNCED
La Mama is thrilled to introduce the 16 playwrights selected for IMMERSE 2026 — our flagship mid-career development program supporting bold, rigorous and future-facing independent theatre practice.
Following an overwhelming response from across Victoria, these artists stood out for the strength of their voices, the ambition of their ideas, and their commitment to evolving their craft.
Across two streams — Metro (in-person at La Mama HQ) and Regional (online for regional and remote artists) — this year’s cohort represents an exciting cross-section of contemporary playwriting practice.
Our 2026 Immerse Artists are:
Metro
Jun Bin Lee
Andi Snelling
Telia Nevile
Nilesh Gadre
Keith Gow
Georgina Capper
Perri Cummings
Savier D’Arsie-Marquez
Regional

IMMERSE provides each artist with 12 weeks of intensive development, one-on-one dramaturgical mentorship, theatre visits, guest artists, peer exchange, industry connection and a culminating Pitch & Sharing Week.
We are energised by the depth of experience, curiosity and theatrical imagination in this group, and we look forward to the new works and conversations that will emerge from their time with us.
Please join us in congratulating our 2026 IMMERSE artists — we can’t wait to share what’s next.
Immerse is part of our PLAY Season of Devolpment, and is supported by the Cybec Foundation, Malcolm Robertson Foundation and John T Reid Trusts, in partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne and Regional Arts Victoria.
