THREE QUESTIONS: EVA SEYMOUR

STUCK performer Eva Seymour on tension, bravery, and sweet spots.

1. How do you know when something is “finished”

I'm not sure if you ever do - you can tweak until the end of time, but at some point, you have to invite people to see it. It will always keep growing, but I think when you can trust that your message is coming across, or audiences are interpreting their own meaning from it, it's in a sweet spot.

2. Who and/or what inspires you?

People who don't take themselves too seriously and are brave to jump in before they're ready.

3. What is your objective in your work on STUCK?

Exploring the tension in a two-hander - the close examination of a relationship and what two people can do to each other. The intimacy of La Mama means everything is under a microscope, and I’m excited to go deep into the complexity between these two characters.
